Fridays Favourite Things.
Hello Lovelies.
Friday and its favourite things are here again but first I want to say Happy World Photography Day to Everyone. I hope something inspires you today :)
1) In light of today and its importance I had to honour the Daguerreotype - the first commercially succesful Photography process. Louis-Jacques-Mandé Daguerre was the man behind the process and I think its so important to know about how things all began. Makes you realise how far things have come. Imagine if we were still all running around using the Daguerrotype process. This photo is the first photograph of a person ever made. Boulevard du Temple, Paris, Spring 1838, by Daguerre.
2) This is my favourite thing this week. The New Zealand Police have created these new Graffiti Ad Campaigns. I think they are extremely powerful pieces and also think its great that they are embracing street art as a fantastic form of advertising and raising awareness. The one of the Police officer pulling someone from the rubble is extremely close to home following the Chch earthquakes. I think they are so simple, yet so darn effective.
3) Brrrrr! I thinks thats been spoken by a lot of people over the last couple of weeks. Insane amounts of snow all over the place. I could not resist this gorgeous scarf. The colour and the thickness is perfect.
4) A DIY Project if your keen. These adorable Plant markers made from Antique spoons. Cute idea.....if only I was good at maintaining plants......
5) You must click on this next link. A series of work done by Ulric Collette, on the genetic similarities between members of same family. He's put two different faces together. I looked at the photos and with some of them you have to double take because they are seamlessly put together. Very Interesting.
6) Last of the Favourite things for the week are these Mini Pinata Favors. I am in love with all things ruffle at the moment and these are such a groovy idea.
I hope everyone has a great weekend. I am off to watch my Brother compete at a Judo comp on Sat which will be good.
Take care!

Artist Crush: Brice Bischoff.
If you haven't already heard of Brice Bischoff, let me introduce you to his work.
Bronson Caves.
Brice Bischoff is a Los Angeles based Artist and the Bronson Caves are also located in Los Angeles. Brice used the caves to create his latest pieces of work, which involved long exposures and colored paper. The papers were draped over Brice and he would move about for a period of time, creating these breathtaking and visually pleasing photographs. The Bronson Caves have been used as a location for a heap of movies + television shows, the likes of Star Trek and Scorpion King were both filmed at this location. I just adore this series..... Technicolor Ghosts emerging from a cave. Stunning.

M o n d a y ' s M u s i n g .
Oh Monday! We meet once again. You seem to come by quicker than any other day.....!
Todays musing's are all about the old D.I.Y. Something I wish I do more of.
1) Numero Uno on the list is this cool 'I Love You' Garland. The two G's - Glitter and Garlands!
2) I bet you cant guess what this next Pom Pom Garland is made of.... A little bit of crepe paper and also Coffee filters! Love love Vintage feel.
3) The last garland - I promise! Love the bright colours and patterns on this love heart garland.
4) This next DIY project is a very cute idea for Valentines Day.
5) Party hats are adorable and I love these ruffled Party hats! Can just imagine a gorgeous wee styled shoot with these as a prop.
6) I have been looking for something like this for ages for engagement shoots. Something a little bit different and a little bit cute.
7) I love the colour Orange in photos. Especially against crisp, clear backgrounds. When I saw this cool tutorial for decorating glassware, I couldn't believe my eyes.
Especially love the bunting. So easy but effective!!!

Ambrosia, Ukeleles and Mud.
Hi Lovelies.
As I mentioned in my last post, I was looking forward to a Family dinner that was happening on Saturday night and I was going to make a dessert to take along. Well after looking over recipes and agonizing over what people would like etc etc, We decided to go for the never fail dessert that is Ambrosia. We weren't disappointed!! It was delicious.
Mixed summer berries were enough to excite me. YUM!
Chocolate to sprinkle on top.
We chose to use passionfruit yoghurt which of course you mix with cream. In go the fruits, marshmallows and Pineapple lumps :)
Once everything is mixed together, sprinkle the Ambrosia with chocolate and garnish with a few berries.
And there you have a dessert which everyone is sure to enjoy! Possibly the most easiest dessert on the planet. So good!!!
Went off roading with my Brother, his Girlfriend, my Partner and my Dad on Sunday, which was a lot of fun!! We went to Wairoa Gorge and had a drive around and then came across a Mountain Bike comp so we stopped and watched that for a while. Was a beautiful day. I also started learning the ukelele on Saturday. I have always wanted to learn and my Mum's partner plays, so he sat down with me and taught me a few notes etc. I think I picked it up pretty well for a first go.
Here's a video of a majority of the photos off my camera from the weekend. It was a great weekend!!
